Event Description:

If you’ve asked yourself: How you can I participate in the work that God’s doing in my neighbourhood?  How can my church be more present and responsive to the needs of the community we’re in?  How do I engage in community ministry without doing harm?  Then this learning is for you!

A 1.5 day learning event for TrueCity affiliated church pastors, leaders, members, visitors…and anyone else!Join us for an interactive and participatory-based community learning event that’s designed to teach the foundational, theological and practical principles of Asset Based Community Development.  Together we will discern what it means to discover and partner with God’s work of redemption in our neighbourhoods by developing our community and missional leadership skills, identifying ways to name and build on neighbourhood and church-based strengths, and discussing ways to build/strengthen your personal and/or church’s relationships with the community you reside in.  Join us this September 15th and 16th at the Vine as we are re-storied together, inspired for service, and knit together in community.
