Seeking Justice through Praying Together
24-7 Prayer Room 2012
It is easy to become overwhelmed when we look at the areas of injustice in our city that need addressing. The plight immigrants and refugees. Sex trade and human trafficking. Addictions and mental health. Child poverty. Corporate greed and inequity. The list goes on and on. What can we do?
We can learn about the issues, and become more aware of the initiatives in the city that are addressing them. We can act, giving of our time and resources to meet the needs. We can do “us sized” things.
And we can pray.
Prayer is the acknowledgement that issues are too big, too complex, too difficult for us. We need the help of Someone smarter. Someone stronger. Someone who loves justice even more than we do. Prayer releases the resources of Heaven. When we pray, we see “God sized things” happen.
We invite you to join us for a week of 24/7 prayer as we agree with God’s heart concerning justice in the city. Sign up and come for an hour. Bring your Bible study and youth group. Bring your family. Let’s cry out to him day and night to see justice released over this city.
I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. ~ Jesus
