Cross Culture Fall ’11–

With three simple prayers Pastor Dave Overholt exhorted students and leaders gathered to open themselves up to what God wanted to do in and through their lives this day–
Give me eyes to see what you see
Grant me the strength to be bold
May no one see but you Lord
The Fall 2011 edition of CrossCulture took place this past Saturday, October 1st. 90+ students and leaders came together for a day of worship through service, song, prayer and fellowship.

As the day unfolded it became clear that these prayers were bearing fruit in the lives of these students and those they encountered.

Together in groups they engaged a variety of forms of service from joining a food drive for Neighbour to Neighbour

to working on doors at Habitat for Humanities’  Re-store to sorting and folding clothes at Hughson Street Baptist and Helping Hands Street Mission.

Whatever the service, these groups, from ten different churches and Redeemer University, had the opportunity to encounter God as they gave up a Saturday to serve.  As the groups returned from their service to play, sing and pray the joy that lit up their time together was clear evidence of how God answered their prayers that morning.
